Being Work: Laying Groundwork for Shared Practices is a program that brings together curators, dancers, and artist-producers into conversation to explore how dance and performance art can be better integrated and supported within Los Angeles’ visual arts landscape. It has been created in partnership with Dorothy Dubrule, hosted by the Wolford House, and supported by Lena Daly and YOLA mezcal.

The program is part of homeLA’s residency at the Wolford House in January 2025. The residency also includes the research of a dance film with director Christina Burchard and choreographer Genna Moroni and Framing the Narrative, a public conversation moderated by Jia Yi Gu between Simon Leung, Clarissa Tossin with Crystal Sepulveda, and Genna Moroni on January 25th.
