Back to school and back to inSITE!

We are beyond excited to start our first week back with AB Miller’s Dance Conservatory at the Maloof Foundation. This marks our fourth year working together!

Under the direction of our AMAZING Education Director, Samatha Mohr, dance students will be mentored by inSITE teaching artists over the next 3 months to create site-specific dance works and films in consideration of The Maloof Foundation and gardens.

Meet the inSITE Teaching Artists

Aisha Shauntel Bardge

Leo Rivas

Aisha Shauntel Bardge is passionate about all things dance and dabbles in everything that involves performing, creating, and teaching. The Riverside, CA artist utilizes her blended technical background of contemporary, modern, jazz, and improvisation practices to inform her voice as an artist.  Aisha is a powerful and soulful mover who radiates light and magic when performing. Her superpower is creating comfortable and safe spaces to explore and engage in anything about dance. She is excited to be invited back as a Dance mentor for homeLA’s inSITE program. Aisha holds a BFA in Dance from Cal State Long Beach.

Leo Rivas teaches Cinema Studies at Chaffey College in Rancho Cucamonga, while also serving as a Program Director for the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. He has taught Video Production at A.B. Miller High School in Fontana and served on the VAPA Curriculum Frameworks and Evaluation Criteria Committee for Media Arts at the California Department of Education. In 2023, Leo was named 2023 San Bernardino County Schools Teacher of the Year while also working as the film teaching artist for inSite. His industry experience includes working on a children’s TV program with PBS/KVCR called *Learn With Me*, working as an Associate Producer for FOX Sports, and editing dance films, music videos, and short films.
