Path of Distant Bonds reveals the beauty in those unexpected moments when one meets new friends in unfamiliar places. These encounters can bring connections one might never anticipate, reminding us that some of the best experiences come when least expected. By learning to trust the process and staying open to what life brings, you may find it far more rewarding than walking a lonely path, isolated from the possibility of new friendships.
Echoes of Power
Choreography:Makaela Iroham and Meyah Quesada
Performers: Isabel Garcia, Makaela Iroham, and Meyah Quesada
Our piece portrays each of our experiences as children and how we dealt with family conflict. We want it to feel relatable and realistic, so we use a lot of acting, gestures, and props to give it an authentic feel. Since these are our own points of view, it feels very real to us, and we hope our audience connects with the piece and perhaps recalls a time in their lives when they faced similar situations.
Mariposas
Choreography: Leana Gonzalez and Sydney Goudeau
Performers: Leana Gonzalez, Sydney Goudeau, Breanna Jimenez, and Fernanda Martinez Dominguez
Sound Score: Leana Gonzalez and Sydney Goudeau
In our piece, we reflect on the past, taking a trip down memory lane. This piece explores the idea that there is always a past, present, and future for each of us, and it is okay to distance yourself from the present, but know that a journey awaits. Like a butterfly, break free from your chrysalis and begin your journey.
